Abe is on duty What a long wait it must seem like to finally reach this point, huh?

Yup. We started planning and working on this whole thing several years ago. When i went out last night to put the chickens into the pens, I felt a little sad. It's all coming together.

HOWEVER.....Yesterday afternoon I looked around at the west side of the chicken yard and thought about a large turkey pen, and a dedicated breeding pen........ The heck with chicken math, this is chicken algebra!

It holds 42 at a time.

The girls in the breeding pens don't want to lay today. I think it's because we moved them yesterday.

According to Chris Tomer it wasn't supposed to hit the Palmer Divide 'till 4. Right now it's looking like I'll be firing up the tractor for the first time this season. At least 8 inches on the way, so everything not bolted down or who can run away is locked in the barn. Poor souls
