Havent posted much recently, been very busy with major developments at home. So yesterday we went to the Oncologist, because Beth had been experiencing some new symptoms, and we and the doctor were concerned. He spoke with the Radiologist about the CT and Bone scans that were done earlier in the week. Beth has more tumors in both lungs and also in her chest lymph nodes. She had an MRI yesterday afternoon on her brain, and we don't have the results of that scan yet. As of right now, she won't be doing any more chemo. 181 treatments, over 11 years. Quite the accomplishment I think. When we get the results of the MRI, we will know more and if we need to do anything in that regard. We appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.
Good Luck! Best wishes!

Beth has been extraordinary (the only word I could think of) in this battle with cancer, please remind her of this each, and every day! Prayers sent, I wish her wellness.

Wendell, there are no words. I can only keep good thoughts for you, Beth, and your family. I wish you all strength, comfort, and peace. It probably goes without saying, but please do not hesitate to let me know if there is anything I can help with.

Thought I would share pictures of some new faces here at the homestead. Mother is a black and white Manx, Dad was a traveling salesman, looked like a flame point siamese cross. This is the result, all kinds of colors, just like chicken genetics.

A quick question from a newbie - how often do you need to clean the mud off feet? Other than putting boots on them, I don't know how to keep them clean! The run currently has pine shavings and straw which they are enjoying scratching through, getting more muddy, actually. Don't want foot infx. Please advise. Thanks!

Besides one Wyandotte with bumble foot, I've never cleaned a chickens foot.
