I make beer so that works perfect. I have ambers that are ready to drink and a wheat that has 3 more weeks (but is bottled already) which do you prefer?

I'll take as much as you have to spare.
Amber. Not much of a wheat fan. I don't think I've ever had home brew before!

Looks like the weather will be good Sat so I'll get what I can.

Hello all!
I've taken a short break from BYC.
The Doms are still laying, though they are enjoying their laying vacation. Two cockerels will be processed tomorrow. They are getting very fat and will be delicious. I love culls.......
Beth is mostly still holding her own, at least for now. Hospice visits at least once a week.

We are seriously considering expanding our poultry operation in 2015. This will take lots of work and preparation. We are thinking of raising turkeys- up to 200 per year for sale. We haven't dedicated any money to this project yet, but we think that we can do well with it, based on other's experience recently. Home raised, non caged, free range turkeys.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas

Those wire panels look very sturdy! Nice score!!

Wendel, Glad you are back, and Beth is holding her own! Who knows, she may out live us all!

On the turkeys, would you process them or the people who buy them would them? Just curious. Had considered it with ducks, but our pond is way yonder, so not very safe.........

Here is a little question for everyone , what would you ask for pullets from a hatchery on craigslist?

Hi All,
With a heavy heart I posted on CL to rehome our puppy. If anyone is interested in a sweet dog, let me know.. Wendy

We have a sweet puppy to re-home. This puppy looks all Saint Bernard, but is a mix.

Mom was a Sheepdog/ Great Pyrenees (and was also a livestock guardian), and Dad was a Saint Bernard/Bernese Mountain Dog. This puppy has a dry mouth. She is spayed and has all shots. We've gone through 3 doggie obedience classes with her. We are re-homing because my youngest child is afraid of big dogs. She is potty trained, and is very quiet. Rarely barks. She is truly the sweetest puppy.
Asking 100 dollars re-homing fee.
If interested call 233-0650

Depends on the age. If you are selling them before they are 4 weeks of age and they still need heat, you probably won't be able to get $8, but might be worth a try, you can always drop the price if they aren't selling. If after 4 weeks, you should be able to get $8 each.

did i pay too much? this was last year , but at the time that seemed to be the going rate
