Colorado

Sounds like a big enough area for a large group, I am also considering adding six small (2' x 3') cages inside my rooster grow out pen for the older roosters, and trouble makers. I was thinking of stacking them two or three high to take up less space. I don't plan on holding any over though winter this next year.

claauction.com I think. (Centennial Livestock in FC) It's long over. They do about 3 a year and there is a truss builder right next door to them that seems to send over production seconds or misorders for every sale. I don't remember what I paid it's been so long but mine are about 6 ft with about a 2ft rise. I know I have more than I could ever use but I have not figured out how I want to build my next set up. Getting inspired to do some different breeds and projects.

It seems like there are truss builders everywhere. I can think of about 5 on the N side of Denver. Find one and see what they do with their rejects. They are worth fire wood at some point.

First chick out. Needed to take it out. It was acting a little lathargic. Put it in with a stuffed animal for company. There are 4 pips at the moment and i can hear them in there. Maybe we will have more by the morning.

8 total out of the shell at the moment. one more zipping that i can tell at this point. One leghorn chick is out at this point. I was thinking it would be white. Nope the color is black right now. Strange.

I love all these hatching updates. We have basically been gone since we set our eggs, so today (day 9) was our first chance to candle. We have 8 good ones, 4 blood rings, and 5 hard to tell (shell too dark, etc). I'll be thrilled if 8 of those make it to hatch!

I love all of the hatching updates as well! It is snowing up here like crazy; a perfect snowman making type snow. Just came back in from snowshoeing 2.5 hrs and it is really starting to come down hard.
