There was some talk of hogs and processing earlier on this thread. Does anybody know somebody near Pueblo who sells non factory raised hogs? Preferably organic?

I bought one at the Calhan auction last August. Don't know if he was "certified organic" or not. Probably not. But he was delicious. But, as he was living and breathing, he certainly wasn't inorganic... LOL

Funny. Do they have the same auction every year or is there a listing somewhere that they have livestock auctions locally? I know absolutely nothing about buying livestock at auctions.

Hate spring....

It usually brings death to my house. Hatching, chicks, ...., but I didn't expect 2 EE chicks & the cat all to pass within a couple days of each other......

I guess I'll have to locate a couple more EE chicks.

Oh no! I'm sorry you've had so much loss. It is a mixed bag time of year. Lots of new life and growth mixed with death, and warm lovely days mixed with freezing cold.

How old do you want? I have 2 extra 4 weeks old EEs and and 1 extra RO that I could part with.
