Thank you all for the welcomes! I dont have internet at my house so it took me a while to get back here, sorry! My 15 chickens are about 2 weeks old now I think, they just started to get their wing feathers, I got them at big r and they didnt tell me how old they were or what kind they are so its all a guessing game for me! One of them is yellow fuzz with white wings coming in and in the last 3 days he (im guessing this one will be a roo) has developed yellow feathers all over his legs and feet.

The guy I got the ducks from said they were 3 or 4 weeks old, they have no real feathers coming in yet though. But I don't really know ANYTHING about chickens or ducks so I assume this is normal.

We are in the Denver West/Arvada/Golden/Lakewood area. Am sorry... a couple folks from ColoSpgs & high mtns asked....I just find it easiest to meet at the Golden Feed Mill
But....all you chicken lovers.....a poultry/rabbit show is April 30 at the state fairgrounds in Pueblo

I am in Pueblo but I work for a reprographics house and the owner also raises chickens, but Pueblo is pretty far from denver. And we have really great pricing when doing large orders.

I have an urgent need for a silkie chick or two!!!! We had some shipped eggs and one make it to lockdown alive (I saw the sucker moving!!!). Well today was day 22, so I candled again... no movement. Hubby broke it open and it looked like it quit around day 18ish...

This was going to be a pet for my 6 year old daughter since her big brother is in 4H and has his own cochins and turkeys.
I just called Murdochs and the lady said, "Oh yeah we have some, let me check on them" She came back and said that there were 4 when she went to lunch and now they're gone. Not getting anymore...

Your Silkies are beautiful I always want some but my hubby wanted RIR so we 6 and their only 10 weeks old and I just love them !!!
I ordered 2 white Leghorns and 2 Plymouth Rocks from Golden Mills in Golden they should be in this weekend
