She is still on the nest, but I thought I would have seen some hatching by now. I think I will have to go out and candle tonight.

If all else fails, I am going to place an order with either Holderread's or Sandhill. I need drakes from a new blood line anyway.

Linda I'm hatching Welsh Harlequin ducklings this summer along with a few other breeds if you might be interested. I have a neighbor who bought an order of Top Show Quality ducklings from Holderread and I was lucky enough to get two of her extra drakes, they are really good looking. So all the WH ducklings are from them or from my neighbors eggs. Three of my hens are Tweak's daughters, but my older two aren't and I can tell which eggs are thiers. I've got one young guy who is almost a month old who is basically an extra, that's the problem with being able to sex the Welsh Harlequins at hatch, you know right away if you have extras.
There is a BYCer who may be coming up this way for some Cayuga ducklings soon too, maybe she would like some help with gas money

I liked the chicken coops some of them were nice.
And I was thinking I want to hold my girls, cuddle them all they do is look at me and come to me when I have food .

I finally finished building a 3x4 wood brooder last night. The cardboard one was getting pretty nasty and damp-didn't want mold to start growing. Anyway, I took a picture of the new brooder with the chicks in it; apparently they did not like the flash from the camera:confused:

It wouldn't be so funny if I intentionally freaked them out but it was humorous to watch them run in 15 different directions and then hold completely still once their vision returned. Sorry chicks, lessened learned.

Once I get the pics uploaded I will post them.

Have a great day!

Yes, she is. Try the changing the laws forum. I don't remember her user name, but her email comes as Elizabeth Sundari Kraft.

Dances with Ducks, do you have any ducklings? I think my broody may be on bum eggs and it would be great if I could slip a few babies under her and call it good.

Also, Melissa is looking for a couple of young girls for her daughter's to raise.

Let me know what is available for the NoisyNora convoy

I have two boys and a girl left, all from different hens and two different fathers that hatched last Saturday. I can break down the linage more if you like

I also have a few more due on Sunday, and they often hatch early. Pretty iffy because I don't want to pull them out of the hatcher too soon before I send them on a road trip. I guess that's what the hatcheries do tho.

My "Duck Truck" (yellow FJ Cruiser) will indeed be making the convoy trip. Anyone who wants in please just pm or email me and let me know so we can all coordinate everything.

I was wondering if anyone had a Jersey Giant pullet, 5 weeks or older, or a hen they might be willing to part with?

Welcome chickadee!

Thanks for the offer! I am looking for an older pullet or hen so that I don't have to start the chick process all over again lol, but I will keep it in mind.
