:welcome Welcome! We are here, just busy getting things done before winter sets in again. This was my animal issue for the week I hope...

Oh my goodness! Did it belong to someone or was it a stray?

I have been trying to get ready for moving the baby peas outside permanently & getting a shipment of white polish chicks this week (I need more hens, holy smokes).

Welcome to the Colorado thread @Corie Robertson. Where are you located and what kind of fowl do you have?

Nice looking goat Margie. How hard was it to get it in the trailer?

Uzi, what happen to the little guy's foot? The pattern coming in the the chest of the one on the left in the second pictures is pretty. Interesting how they are all different. Do you have any idea what they will look like grown or will it be a complete surprise?

I put my quail eggs into lockdown last night. I think there is a rotten one in there as there is a faint smell when I open the lid. I guess I have to sniff each one individually to check but honestly I'm a little afraid. :sick

I got some traps I need to set up to see if I can catch anything. I also set up my game camera as I found some weird scat by the compost pile. It could have just been from one of my dogs and it looked weird because of the rain but I'd like to be sure. Something set it off Saturday night but all I really see in the picture is the tall grass. I moved the camera to a different spot so hopefully that will help.

There's nothing wrong with their feet (I don't think?). They had pooped on my shoulder & were walking in it, so maybe that's it?

I can wager a guess of what they might look like, but it is going to be a surprise in 2yrs when they start growing their train feathers. The darker boys are showing signs of the green neck colouring from their mom (both of my females are spaldings).

Oh boy I feel silly. In the first picture I thought the one had a wrapped foot but it's the head of the other bird. :lau
Oh! :D Yeah, that's Mim looking over Sy's shoulder. :) I had them out in the yard this evening & they just followed me around like I was their mom! I love them so much.

Six chicks have hatched but one died shortly after hatching. I thought another was going to die too but it's a little fighter. Came home to find it walking around with the others. I figured if I'm going to do this I might as well do it right and found some chicks for sale on Craigslist. Picked up 20 more with some very interesting coloring.
