You might try Walkers Cage & Feed, at 43rd and Kipling. But I think they're closed on Sundays. I don't know if they carry Organic. Their number is 303-424-0305. And I haven't been to the new Murdoch's yet up on north Wadsworth, so I don't know what they carry.

Thanks! I will call them tomorrow. I went up to the new Murdoch's twice now and it felt like the Walmart of feed stores to me. I prefer customer service over selection, personally. After the last time I went there I said I'd never go back. I never bothered to check what type of feed they had.

The Murdoch's in Longmont carries an organic feed but it costs a lot more than the Manna Pro I feed my ducks. Besides the price I also always worry about them getting enough of the right nutrients that I just hesitate to change over, even though with my own diet I only want organic. I console myself about the duck eggs because at least my ducks free range most of the day.

I've always wondered about the Manna Pro. So you've been pretty happy with it?

My Cochins have always been on Manna Pro, but that's mostly because that's what is readily available in this part of town (I shop at Wardle). I haven't had any issues with it, but really can't offer anything for comparative purposes.

I miss them all because I work on Saturdays.

It's been recommended by a couple of long time duck breeders I know so I feel confidant about it's nutrient content. I don't see any problems with it that I know of. I use the game bird/waterfowl feeder, and sometimes the game bird breeder or starter when I can pick it up. I did get a bag of Mazuri Waterfowl Breeder and mixed it in with the Manna Pro this breeding season.

What would be a good feed for chickens and ducks of various ages? I would like to get them all on 1 feed so I don't have to worry about someone eating something they shouldn't.

After about 12 - 16 weeks, they can all be on adult feed. But earlier than that, they really need the extra nutrients and protein in starter feed. And the extra calcium in the adult feed isn't good for earlier than 12 - 16 weeks. Starter feed would not do harm to the adults, but adult feed can do harm to juveniles.

You could use something like Purina Flock Raiser. It is good for all types of fowl. There may be something similar in an organic / different company. Oyster shell offered free choice for the egg layers would be necessary.
