We are having home grown turkey at our house next week!!

And I'm in agreement with the 2 eggs a day problem. Most of mine are finishing up molting and no sickies that I know of, so maybe they will start up again soon. Those pullets should be getting with it too. They are sure getting big. No one slow downs on their food consumption though. Ah, the joys of late fall in the Rockies.

We are finally seeing numbers back up. For most of september and october we were lucky to see 1 every other day, during and after our molt. We are now consitently seeing 9 ish. Hope the numbers keep going up. We have a few birds heading info their 3rd year, hope to get some eggs or a roo for spring hatching, that is after hubby builds me a new coop,I'll use the old one for bro ody hens and chicks.

My cuckoo marans hasn't laid in 10+ days! She was a good 5-6 eggs a week before that! My red star still lays most days, thankfully! She's the only one giving us eggs! I had to buy some from the store. *sigh* The EE is almost 26 weeks and hasn't started laying yet and the australorp is almost 25 weeks and hasn't started yet, either.

We've been marking our egg production on a calendar - this is sooo much better. Also lovin' that we can figure out costs per egg - keeping track of expenses - and on top we create a "farm stand" for people to find us. How cool is all that?!?!

Re eggzy, I love the egg tracking, but I totally think the flock expenses "section" needs work. I think you need to be able to add expenses just like you add eggs. But, what the heck, it's free.

Now that I've figured out that part, I would agree...

It would be nice if we could put specific expenses in, feed, bedding, dates, etc...to track it out, yes, like the eggs...but FREE is ALWAYS great! And there is hope of more features to come??? Maybe we could make suggestions send feed back?
