Just a head's up, if you know someone who is thinking about getting in to ducks, I have a small "starter flock" I would be willing to contribute for free. I am just south of Colorado Springs. The ducks are Welsh Harlequins. I have a drake and 2 hens to offer. I am going to be ordering a new drake from Holderread's, so Connor, my current silver drake, has to go. The hens are 3 and 2, so still have plenty of laying time left. One has raised a couple of clutches of ducklings, the other has shown no interest in motherhood. Both the hens are golds. One is from Holderreads, the other is from Metzer. Not show quality (well, the Holderread's hen is very to type and pretty), but a great set of starter ducks.

I am WAY over my duck limit for my little yard, so pass the word and get back to me

We have a good two feet on the ground right now but that included past storms. The drifts grew huge too. We have one on the way to the coop that is taller than my daughter and she's some three feet tall. Still snowing hard in Parker. The cold front woke me up around 3 am! It was loud!

I am. I work at the Airport. Still snowing here, and still snowing at the house south of Fountain. Blowing too. At the house we have drifts between 1 - 2 feet. Took almost an hour to get to work this morning. My daughter still has school this morning in security (Toni & Guy Hair Academy) She is leaving in a few minutes. Driving slow and giving lots of room!

It's going to get COLD tonight Brrrrrrr!
