Colorado

Well, these aren't very good (how do you keep the little devils still long enough to take a pic) but here's a few pics of mine.

2 BR & 2 BA

Here is my most curious, most aggressive chick....

And here's a pic of my mostly completed coop. Things I still need: Outside trim, roosts and nest boxes. I have already attached the hardware cloth at the very top front. Had to do a little piecing in to finish that. Some of my amateur carpentry wasn't very well planned, hehehe.

CO Chick.........lets hope and pray for tomboyish. She (I say hopefully...) was purchased as a pullet and I am not allowed Roosters. While I fully intend to eat my hens when they reach an age they are no longer laying, I suspect it's going to take me some time to become comfortable with the idea of the kill.

ETA: Altho if 'Stink" Eye is a Roo-ish behavior I am in deep doo-doo, cuz she's already got the method down.

Can anyone give me an idea on when the next bird swap is? I have some call ducks I need to sell and I do not ship so I am thinking local but I also do not want them to go into a pot.

The next swap in Denver should be the first Saturday of every month. I think there's one here in Brighton at the Co-op on Sunday http://americanpridecoop.com/pdfs/birdswap12.pdf .

And I know there's one at the J & T Country Feed ~ 6380 W 10th St #1, Greeley, CO ~:
