Did you all hear the Sheriff Taylor passed away
I loved his shows and always wanted to live in Mayberry when I was little. Heck who am I kidding, I'd live there now if I could. He just seemed like a gentle soul.

ok. I need some help. My run STINKS!!! Its in dirt and the chicken spend most of their days in their since my Shepard mix wants to chase them. I'm planning on raking it out today and getting rid of the top layer of stuff (poo, leaves, sticks, leftover grass clippings from 3 wks ago, etc etc). I was thinking of tossing a bag of sand in there and mix it with some sweet pdz. But I've put straight pdz in there and it didn't help much.
Anyone else have this problem?? Its driving me nuts. The coop i can clean every 3 wks without a problem (sweet pdz poo area and shavings in another). There is a noticeable chicken smell but its not a bad one.
Yeah Mo, who are you trying to kid, 4 or 5 HA!!! Chicken math will prevail and commone sense will go out the window SWOOSH!!
That's right! I only suggested getting four to start because INEVITABLY you will find that one awesome breed that you just love and you will want the space to get her. However, if you get six today you always know where your extra can go. I mean, gah! Oh no! I'm infected!

I've been infected!! lol. I only have 7 right now. There are 3 other breed i want to try and figured i'd get them next yr. I know i'm going to end up with at least 5 though.....lol. We already have a run, coop, brooder and everything needed to go with it. So it will only cost me around $20 to get 5 more chicks. What a deal!!!![]()

Little cuties! They have such lovely feathers. I showed these to my boyfriend last night and we spent some time looking up fowl videos on youtube. Now we're thinking a duck, which will need a pond of course, and those turkeys are pretty cute too. Maybe we need to get some more land...
Rock Home Isle, I loved the pictures of your daughter with the chickens. Your land looks so green and idyllic![]()
