My geese are like that. The chickens, eh, not so much, just a few of them. It's a pain because the geese chew on EVERYTHING.

woohoo!! My laptop is finally back from being repaired! It only took a MONTH. But hey, warranty covered it, so it was free to fix.

Sorry I been gone. Had to go back to Illinois for a death in the family.
I have the coops all lined out and the hog pen completed..I will post pics when I get my camera back. The DW had to stay to take care of things with the family and her mother is having cancer surgery on the 23rd......May not see her for a while! She must stay and take care of her mother.

I wish mine were so friendly but even when giving them a treat they are still cautious around me and if I pick them up the try to escape every time. I am so worried that they will fall and hurt themselves one day.

So yesterday I was out in the run visiting the big girls, had my back to the coop when I heard a noise. Turned slow, and there was a freaking mouse up on top of the coop. It was mess'n with the un-set mouse traps we keep in the barn. One of the girls jumped up on my shoulder and scared it away, so I walk over and set one of the traps real quick. Then when I was putting the girls to bed for the night I set two more traps, and put cheese in one of them. Three traps set, p on the coop.
This morning I go out to let the girls out and the bait from one trap is on the ground, and the trap is GONE. I feel kinda bad, poor little thing is somewhere with a trap stuck to it's leg or something. I looked for it but we think it might be behind the wall, behind the coop. I'll know in a few days, when it starts to stink.

we've been trapping mice in our garden. So far 22 and we've lost 5 traps so far. Although we think one trap was lost to a snake who took it with him
