What year did he graduate? My younger son, Eric, graduated in 2007, he only attended one year. My oldest daughter Heather graduates in 2010 from Hanover. We like the small school aspect. My youngest, Hannah for example, being at a small school is the Student Body Secretary, and on the Student Council, Varsity Volleyball, Varsity Basketball, Band, Choir, National Honeor Society as a Sophomore, and will be again this year, Honor roll constantly, etc. Opportunities they don't get at the larger schools. A couple of years ago there were some BIG changes made withint he school board and the faculty, which I think were for the best. Everybody knows everybody, students, teachers, parents. We all look out for the kids.

He graduated in 2010! I will have to ask him if he knows your daughter - his name is Billy (I call him Bill, but none of his classmates do). I agree that it offers opportunities not available to them elsewhere, not the least of which is practicing leadership and developing initiative and ambition.

The man in this ad is selling a breeding pair of serama chickens for $50. Am I missing something? Are they usually this expensive?

I have seen adult breeders (various breeds) stated to be of reasonable quality listed on this site for $45-$50 each plus shipping, and others for far less. I think it depends on quality as well as demand - Seramas are one of the breeds which seem to be desired by many. I have looked at a few pictures and I think they are really pretty and kind of interesting, but they are small, so would not serve the purposes of those whose primary interest is large eggs for eating. That wouldn't stop me if they were of good quality (which would mean I would have to be able to determine that myself) and I wanted a breeding pair to start a flock or to sell hatching eggs or chicks ... and I had money to burn on them and a whole new setup and an incubator and etc. :) And I'm guessing unless someone snaps them up, the price will get more negotiable.

So how is your Mom settling in?

Last name Casey I think? Heather graduated with him. She says he is a nice guy. She was busy being head cheerleader, etc.
