I have a Brinsea Eco and I like it. The bottom is very easy to clean, the top - not so much. It maintains its temp and I seem to have good hatch rates but I did with Wendell's when I borrowed his.

AHHHHHH.....!     BYC was the last bastion of safety from anything politics...    But since you opened this can of worms.... my own personal feelings is its just another scare monger tail of what could happen.  Like everytime a city has to cut something they never talk about cutting stupid stuff.  They always trump up having to cut the police or fire department instead of street lights.   At some point, people have to take responsibility for what their own families eat and stop relying on somebody else.  If you are very concerned, remember that certain foods are already inspected by private agencies (OU) along with the government.

Sorry to violate your safe zone.

I will bear that in mind. It was more the first paragraph that got me. 44% increase is insane. It makes me wonder how many people properly cook food. Or if someone is twisting the stats. Easy enough to do but I didn't see any advantage to it.

Lol...it's ok. If you were a Facebook friend, you'd understand completely the reason I love BYC so much. My take is as I said already, it is just fear mongering. You're telling me that there are no other places to cut...like, oooh, I don't know... funding for artists like the one who made Piss Christ? or for the scientists studying prostitution demographics in China? I mean I just don't know what we did prior to food inspectors? Regarding stats, they twist them all the time. This is a political issue and will be spun that way. If there is worry about it, only buy OU food or go to the Kosher deli in Denver for meats. Then you can have some sense that there is no mixing of milk and meat, no insect laquer in the metal cans, that 'offal' contaminants are within acceptable limits (usually .0something percentages) and that someone actually shows up to do the inspections. You'll also know the meat is free of defects inside the body as well as out. Ok, I'm done ranting on this as I do enough political ranting and debates on my Facebook page.

Read a lot of good things about the Brinseas too, so small though...
Someone commented on a review of incubators to wait on getting the turner, otherwise it'll drive you nuts not having anything to do but wait the first few times lol
