Thank you everyone.

I was working in Document Control but I was only there for 4 months so no benefits. Before this I had been out of work for most of three years so it was a bit of a slap to the face to be out again. I had some here and there contract work to get me through that time I just hope I can find some again. Sadly I really liked my job and the people I worked with but I knew it was coming even if due to the sensitive nature of the work they were unable to give me notice. They called me after I left work to tell me that my contract and the other contractors work had been ended due to lack of work. I had already cleared out most of my stuff, before hand(I never really had much there) so I only have to go back to return my ID.

On the bright side we got 2inches in snow and for the first time in months I have nothing to do. I get to work on my quilts!

The wind is wicked strong out here. I'm glad all of my roosters get along and that my flock, even with the different sizes and ages, etc... all get along or today would be hell. I went out about a half hour ago and the temp. in their house is about 36 and the water hasn't frozen.

If it's any comfort, there was no such thing as a computer in an office when I started working for a living :) You might want to insert a section listing what software and training you've had, to make it easier for a hiring manager to find that information, and to highlight your resume if someone is doing a keyword search.

I should have asked, did you want 5, or 3? If you only want three it will be $35.00 and I'll buy the other two. I'm good either way.
 
We got about 2-3" inches out here in Aurora, not too shabby since last I heard I thought "trace amount" was what we were getting. So, having a bit made me happy!

Minchi, I can relate. We got laid off in 2007 (dec) from the Mortgage/Financial end of the world. I opened a Wine tour business after that and that was awesome for me for 5 years, but owning your own business was a lot of work. So, I sold it in late 2011, the person I sold it and all the assets to totally didn't pay, so I had to repo it, which was a just lovely experience. (sarcasmmmmmmm) I am retired now, but my DH decided to go back to work in the corporate world and he got a VERY good job in Aviation sales, which he LOVED, LOVED LOVED, that was in March, the company was sold in July, entire staff laid off. But we landed on our feet with a quick turn around on a upper management sales position at Evergreen Aviation, we would require a RELO to Anchorage, but hey, we were up for the adventure now that all but 2 of our 6 kids are grown, and these two are Freshman and Sophomores in High school. Well he went on up there and the company was out of the gate a nightmare! Payroll delayed, insurance never filed, he was stuck on location out in the sticks a couple times, no power, the list goes on and on. Finally on the 19th of Nov he was laid off, but, OH, that's right, even though we haven't paid you or anything YOU find a way back to CO! OMG it was a nightmare! He spent Thanksgiving up there with no power and had to deal with a domestic violence for the couple he was going to spend thanksgiving with, the man ended up in Jail, then 2 days later when he got out he commited suicide and my DH found the body! FINALLY that night our attorney got him home. Now we are AGAIN on the job hunt. Thankfully he interviews well.
It's unlikely I'll ever work outside the house again, I suffer from chronic migraines which makes working for someone else difficult. But I write and am 3/4 the way finished with a novel and about 1/2 way done with my Colorado Food & Wine Cookbook for everyday people.
Anyway, sorry for the long post. Just sort of slipped out. I am getting sick this AM YIPPIE! Just in time for the holidays. Great.

Boy Lees, you two have had some adventures, huh? It's fortunate you have been able to keep a positive outlook, I think it helps a lot when things take an unexpected turn. Are you going to be self-publishing your books? Your Colorado Food and Wine Cookbook sounds interesting!
 
Oh - and Welcome Home, Sharon! We are happy you are back! Hope your hen is better today.
 
4 eggs by noon, temp in the coop 22* F. everybody scratching around being chickens. Nobody went outside, so I closed the chicken door to cut down on cold airflow.
