2 Silver sebrights & 4 SL wyandotte banthams

Congrats!! Post pics when you get them settled! :D

I have a sick hen now. DS is about to wake up from his nap so I will have to get a closer loo at her later tonight but she sounds congested, coughing and sneezing. A lot. She was fine when I let everyone out this morning but now...

Coloradogal, what was your dosage recommendation with the oxide again?

Just took advantage of the storm and ordered the brown layer assortment from McMurray. :D Anyone wants in on it, let me know.

Scrambles sounded better when I ran out to check other really fast. I think the poor gal just has a cold somehow. :/

Hi everyone, I am relatively new to BYC and live on the western slope, just outside Grand Junction city limits. I think I have a buff babe thats getting broodyish.
Hopefully I could hook up with someone in the area with some fertile eggs for her I could purchase. I dont really much care at the moment what kind, I am not set up for some of the things I want to do with chickens yet. I have BOs, EEs, RIRs, and SLWs and a loner Andelusian that I really dont want anymore of-her feathers are too not cold proof, she suffers when it gets too cold. (she gets to be in the dog crate in the house when the temps get below the low 20s). My favorites are the EEs, and the BOs are growing on me.

At some point I would like another rooster, but it has to be non human aggressive. The EE roo decided he was gonna spur me and that afternoon he was cooling his drumsticks in my fridge-the reason why I dont have my own fertile eggs. I now have experiance making back aprons for barebacked ladies so will be well equipped to make ones for when I can get another roo.
Forgive me, I dont have Internet access (yet) so it might be a few hours b4 I can answer.
THANKS!

I wish you didnt live so far away. I would give you my BO roo. He is very gentle and doesnt mind being handled. I am afraid that my leghorn roo is going to injur him as he is trying to cover his flock of six. He is skating on thin ice as far as my leghorn is concerned. I also have fertile eggs you could try and hatch.I am sure someone from that area will answer you wanted add for some fertile eggs soon.
Welcome to CO BYC

Welcome to CO BYC! I know of lots of places for fertile eggs if you were in Colorado Springs. Good luck with your egg hunt over there. I'm not sure of any in your neck of the woods. Have you tried Craigslist?
