Ya, looking forward to breaking out the tractor for the 3rd time in what seems like as many days. As soon as it warms up to 14 degrees I'll clear a path for the puppy to get around. It's awfully cute watching him bounce around the driveway, though. He looks like a dolphin following a boat around

W - I had a Durango when I lived in Breck and it did so poorly in the snow it ended up sliding off a pass, but I was able to climb out the sunroof. The Dodge trucks (and Chevy's) are way better equipped to handle this weather. Come to think of it, I should just get a sled and the dog can pull me into town.
Our durango was OK in snow, but it has taken a beating in the last 6 years. It's on its third engine, it now has multiple colors, and many other issues. We just can't afford a replacement vehicle right now. The redneck engineering fix is working great though!

It was warm enough yesterday afternoon before it started snowing again, that the hens in the breeding pens dug themselves some dust bath holes. Or should I say mud bath holes.......

I love redneck fixes, especially when you find someone else's handiwork! My DH had this old BMW that ran but had Issues back when we were dating. He went to check something and had to remove the battery to do it. Found the battery had been balanced with baby whipes, a condom and something else I can't remember. Somehow the box was angled and the battery had to be flat for it would keep disconnecting.

Wow! I'm going crossed eyed reading my county policies vs what my town ordinance. Which one is the higher, because they seem to conflict (Pet vs Livestock in sound ordinance) plus Larimer county has a Right to Farm\ranch law\board on the books. So confusing!!!

The town ordinance usually trump the county if you are within city limits. don't know about the right to farm laws and how they interact with town ordinances.

Think of the town as a huge HOA........

I'm in a "Mixed Res\business" zone, but I mentioned that and it didn't seem to make a difference to the person I was talking to.

As it stands now I'm looking at 2 hens Per adult, Per household.

HOA should be HOA'S just to make it a 4 letter curse word!

If you still have any confusion you may want to call your county development department. I know here in El Paso county/Colorado Springs they were able to give me an immediate answer just based on my address.
