I am wondering why chicks raised by momma chicken don;t get pasty butt?  Is it because she keeps them extra warm, and maybe some humidity is transferred from her to them?  Just wondering.........

WOW.  That article is sooooo misleading, and yes, don't try and change peoples minds, is not worth your breath.  They will believe what they want to believe. 


Chicks hatched by a mother hen don't get pasty butt because soon after they're hatched, they eat the mother hen's poo, which is loadedwith good bacteria for their little guts. Not exactly what we want to hear but it's a fact!
