Colorado

He he. I'll be out there for as long as one can possibly stay awake watching for little heads peering out

but she'll be nice and warm all night. The feeder is already loaded with starter and her coop is spotless. Do you recommend ACV in the water?
So......Whats the chick count?

I popped the top off the crate this morning to take a peek. Nothing but a big fat broody Ancona covering most of it and growling at me. I didn't hear any peeps, either, but it was probably drowned out by all the birds in the trees loving this spring weather. Speaking of drowning, though, I hope the little ones aren't being literally smothered by mommy.

If she is growling, they won't be peeping. Instincts are that danger means be quiet! Just be patient and don't stress her until she has come to grips with being a Mom.

Welcome to Colorado Nancy! Chrissy is definitely the biggest in the room, even bigger than her sister.

Here's a bigger picture of her run, lamp moved off to the side.

I lowered the food and water to little peeper height and put a little rug by the cage opening.

Everyone is so curious to see what's going on in there.
