Help! Moved my little ones out all seemed to be happy. Just went out and bees are swarming their All Flock feed. They do not seem to be aggressive but are everywhere. They look to me to be Honey bees so don't really no what to do. No hives that I can see. I have been in the greenhouse most of the morning and yesterday when I moved everyone in. No bees. They seem to me centered on their feed. Which I took outside. If I close the windows and doors my chicks will cook. My chicks are about three weeks old and now I had to take their feed out. I am anticipating the bees to leave as the day wears on but has anyone had this happen? I don't want them to be stung, and so far so good.

It could be a new queen looking for a new home. If the queen stops for a break somewhere, for example your feeder, all her trusty workers will swarm around her. Yes they will take off eventually but it is best the chicks don't accidentally upset them. Good luck and keep us posted.

They won't get stung. The bees are looking for pollen and there is some on the grain. That's great news that you have bees in your yard. I keep bees and several people I know are reporting that their bees are in their chicken feed.
Just ignore them and they will ignore you. The chickens won't be bothered either.
Where do you live?

They may be what i call Orchard or Mason bees, they are not interested in stinging you, they are looking for a food source. I used to have them all over my Chinese Elm Trees when they first bloomed in the springtime. They will leave you and your chickens alone.

Oh I wasn't doubting your eggs, just our incubator and/or our incubation techniques. Thanks for the reassurance

Noooo, I didn't take it that way. I was just trying to reassure you that everything was going to be fine because I've had such great hatch rates with the eggs here. =) I still think that by the time you wake up tomorrow, you'll have a whole bunch of fluffy butts.

I live about 10 miles south east of Elbert, they say I live in Peyton , but I am about 1 mile from the El Paso, Elbert county line. It's called hideaway ranches. Yes I just checked on the chicks. Took feeder out so the bees would follow an will put it back in once the bees leave and close them up for the night. The girls were so happy in there new digs so didn't really want to move them. I'm a bit allergic, but not severely I could sense they were not after us but still.....was worried what could happen to the chicks. Thanks for quick answers!

Got a fun picture of one of my EEs today and thought I would share

Ok I have a Cuckoo Maran question. Is is normal for this breed to have a larger comb at a young age? Here are some pics of my 2-3 week old chick I got from Elizabeth Feed. Her feathers are coming in the fastest of all three I got and her comb is growing the fastest too. Oh please tell me this is a pullet and I have nothing to worry about!
I managed to get a couple pics of my cuckoos today they are pullets about the same age as yours.
