So, I washed and dried my cell phone last night.

I was kinda wondering what that noise was in the dryer. It still works and it is clean, go figure. Now if I can have the same luck with my eggs in lock-down as of last night. Left 4 iffy ones in because they don't smell and have 15 that look good. We shall just have to wait and see, and wait............

I have done that once or twice!!! Be sure to open it up and dry the inside with hairdryer!

I'm not doing amazon prime, it just happened that the rolls had the free super saver shipping. And yes they are big heavy rolls, shipping would have been awful if they had charged it.

X2. I don't pay for Prime. I just purchase free shipping items (especially heavy items) whenever possible. Each roll of wire is well over the $25 required to qualify for free super saver shipping, and all three rolls I ordered reachede in under two weeks, despite being shipped seperately

I am amazed at the restrictions in PW, too. I am zoned A3, on over an acre.... while we don't need a chicken permit, they do restrict us to 10, and no goats, pigs, or other livestock of any kind. Despite being rural Agra. If we were county, we could do as we please.

How I envy 50 acres!

Canon City approved hens with a permit just a few months ago. $100 for permit, 8 hens allowed. Man am I happy we are in the county. But our next door neighbor is city. Can you imagine having 50 acres and not be allowed to have chickens? That was the case until a few months ago. I just don't understand. We are a rural agricultural area. Shaking my head.

How did everyone survive the wind and snow?

We had sustained winds in the 40-60 MPH range for over 24 hours. Got a little fence gate damage, found the missing barrel, and no shingles abandoned us.

The poults survived their bout with the cold, and are still in the house until tomorrow.

I LOVE Amazon! but you do have to pay attention with shipping, etc.

We hope to have some Dominique chicks at ChickenFest!

You also have to pay attention to prices, some sellers will double the price but if you are expecting bulk to be better you won't look in to it and find out too late that you way over paid. I am a long time user and a prime member, I knows it's dirty little secrets.

Do you know if A1 and A2 have similar number restrictions, I get to start house shopping today and that would really help in my searches.

Now a days permits for everything. So castrophobic.
My husband and I always knew we wanted to live east of Denver with plenty of property. We wanted no covenants to dictate us. We decided Adams county because Arapahoe county we couldnt have pigs and we had to plant a specific type of grass and we couldnt allow it to grow over a certain height. To top it off the place we liked we could only have two horses and two cows tops.WHAT! And it was 40 acres. Hellooooo what is wrong with that picture.

The wind was something fierce but hardly any snow. However, the little snow got into the coop through one of the boards that got torn off. That was no bueno and the girls were cold. They were not happy.

So if I am looking at a 35 acre lot in Adams county Zoned A3 then I can only have 10 chickens and no other livestock?
I checked the Adams County zoning and it looks like for 35+ acres A3, the amount of animals is considered not regulated (NR). You can have up to 200 chickens from 10 AC to 35 AC. That is a lot of chickens!

Yes. Similar restrictions. All of Pueblo West is restricted to 10 chickens. And no other livestock. Not to say everyone follows that (and I certainly am not judging anyone if they don't). No other livestock of any kind. Lots around the golf course are forbidden chickens (most paved areas on the south side)
