I have 4 young silkies from my late fall hatch available. These hatched early October. The first 2 off color splash cockerels are $5 each.
Then a pair for $20, one patridge pullet and a porcelain male. They are full siblings. The buyer may choose a splash male to go with the pullet instead. The splash males are half siblings to pullet. The pullet wont be sold individually.

I think you will get some very cute chicks from both of us! Silkies are adorable. I really need to stop looking at ads, or I will end up with too many chickens.
You will be using an Ecoglow incubator, right? Let me know how well it works. They look nice, and much better than a cheaper table top styro bator I am sure.
I just looked at the info Friday, it says all birds to be cooped by 2 p Friday the 24th, judging at 9 am Saturday the 25th. I'm trying to get in touch with Paul to see if he will be there either of those days, hoping he has a RIR cockerel I can buy and pick up there.Let's see, the stock show is in the last half of Jan right? hmmm....
That is a lot of eggs! Are these pure Silkie? They are soooo cute, are they from Cat Dance and Shylee lines? Yep, have heard of the oxdine dip and let them air dry, some people use very very weak bleach solution, the key is to let them air dry, don't wipe it off, as that pushs it into the egg, as the egg has pores. Shylee, So tempting! Did you ever sell that big Silkie Rooster you had at the Pueblo show? I kept thinking, I should have bought him! lol I have to keep telling myself, can't add anymore right now! I think I will end up with Silkies one day, if even just for tiny incubators, but my bantams are good at that too, had three go broody at six and half months, started laying at five months.Suncatcher, according to GQF I can set 3 racks of 90 eggs, or a total of 270, at once. I don't really expect to fill it, but will hatch for others if they wish. I have started dipping all my eggs in warm (110-120 degrees) water with a capful of Oxine and letting dry right before I set, and would do the same with anyone else's eggs, just to keep things nice and clean. I don't know whether it makes a difference, but after reading about dipping eggs in all manner of things to improve hatch rate (ascorbic acid was one) for a lot longer than 3-4 seconds, I stopped worrying about getting them wet. Here are a couple of pictures of chicks that hatched this weekend.![]()
