Hmmm, How far east on the CL ad? My daughter lives out that way (Peyton), and commutes into the springs every day.

I was also directed to this site for Heritage Turkeys, http://heritageturkeyhatchery.com/turkeys.htm I have been on their site "dreaming". ~ :D Is very informative on weights and breeding of certain colors.

Hope you get some MW to hatch! Also, have read that the MW may be an off color of the Beltsville, so found that interesting. Congrats on your recent hatchings!

The showed it North of 94 and between Yoder and Rush, so East of Peyton even. Ad says Calhan, looks like even further East than that, but the address is Calhan.

Going to check out that link now, thanks!

If they are ever in Falcon, I know my daughter would not mind bringing them to the Spirngs. She might be able to meet in Peyton, but would need to check with her first.

That Heritage farm also sells eggs! Wow, now I am really dreaming! :D I could get two of those, oh, and three of those...... lol Don't think they have a problem with mixing hatching eggs, at least it doesn;t say that on their website.

I am planning to go the 25th, I'll touch base with you as it gets closer and let you know whether I will have eggs for you. I have 4 hens broody right now so production is way down. One due to hatch her clutch this Saturday, others later.

Don't worry about it right now. I'm going to pick up some local barnyard mix eggs to do a test run with first. Once I know everything is working and make any necessary tweaks, then I'll get some eggs from you and suncatcher. I'm thinking maybe the end of Feb/early March. Hopefully you'll both have eggs around then.

We're getting an incubator next week, and will be hatching sex-link and Cream legbar crosses, that way if we fail completely it's not a huge loss. I need more egg layers anyways, so this cross should be very productive.

Nice! Is it a table top or cabinet incubator? One thing I learned with my table top model, you have to calibrate your thermometers, I bought three, only two were the same temp when I calibrated them, so those were the ones I used. Lots of great info on the Hatching 101 thread here on BYC.

It's that time of the year again.
Nice to see all the incubator & hatching conversations going on.
Could you guys keep an eye out for Sebright eggs or chicks for me please? I look for them every year. I got some chicks from a big hatchery & most of them died, except for a roo.
Thanks for the help!
