[Percheron chick]

have 2 chickens in boulder county. Need a coop asap. Anyone have any advice or materials? I'm goinna go pick some free wood up tomorrow in erie so hopefully i can build em something simple.

Are you county and can build as big as you want? I know where 2 large shipping crates are (maybe 8x6x6) that could make a nice size coop with a little imagination. 2 chickens? that won't last long.

Usually you can find something on CL like an old dog house or play house but of course nothing right now.

We are. Where are these shipping crates located? We would be happy to get em.
And as for the 2 chickens not lasting long- we're already contemplating more

They are in CTC in Louisville. If I go in tomorrow, I can get dimensions for you. I might just grab the 2nd one for a grow out coop.

Has anyone had a bantam raise standard size chicks? I have a very determined bantam. I have tried to break her but she keeps brooding.
I don't want any more bantams, but I could give her a couple chicks from Jax or Murdoch's.

Have fun with this wind, maggiemo! The majority has passed me now. It looked like there was also a bad dust storm too because the sky looked a brownish red for a couple of hours. I hate the wind!!

Wind was terrible this afternoon!

My Silkies raised some Cream Legbars, no problem at all. Go for it!

The wind just started up here. It's loud! Hopefully everything makes it through the night ok.

My Sikie raised Cochin Silkie crosses, did a great job.

It's starting to really feel like spring! This week I had an 19 egg day. Haven't had one of those in awhile. Right now I have 21 laying hens.
