They are much more active than the others (EE, RO and Welsummer) so I"m guessing they are going to be flightier They look at things more intently but I wonder if that has something to do with the monster muffs. They probably interfere with their vision.
Yes, it does look like they would have to work at seeing what's in front of them, they're really neat looking.

Whoops! It's an amazing group no matter who is going to be doing A LOT of canning this summer. Gosh!
LOL just what I was thinking - I guess EG won't have to worry about where the tomato sauce and salsa are coming from this coming winter :) Lots of work but SO worth it!

Those are some nice looking starts! { June 1st. June 1st, June 1st) That is what I keep telling myself as I peer at the last of the melting snow on my north side. We are going to get some serious rain and then I guess after that and it dries out, maybe I can start planting? June 1st. The high-country snowmelt is starting to kick up the rivers in a big way these past two days so I hope we just have a road when this is all done. June 1st - only ten more days and then maybe I can be a normal gardener? Is that even possible?

Is that a moose Margie?
I planted my tomatoes and peppers a couple days ago. I planted about 20 plants. I hope I get enough tomatoes for salsa and sauce.

I asked Pozees, and she is checking with Wendell, but I'll ask here too. Does anyone have any Easter Egg X barred Rock or Dominique eggs I could try to hatch? I really want some barred easter eggers or barred naked necks.

Thanks.

With the threat of more storms and possibly hail, I'm not putting out my started plants until next week. The greens, etc that are already up will hopefully survive.

Hi all,

I have 1 wheaten Ameraucana cockerel about 7 weeks old and maybe 1 black and 1 blue. These are nice birds if anyone's interested. I also have some very nice young Blue laced red cockerels from Chicken Hill. I'd take $10 each if you're interested.

Thanks, Connie
