Colorado

They are on the list for sure now! Did you win? Not sure about the April part as I think we had some near 0 readings. Maybe a WOW inside the cold frame would work that early (If I could even find the garden beds and dig them out....
Yes we won!
I think WOW protects plants down to 10F. Snow is a great insulator. If there is snow around the WOW and it is below 10F the plants are ok, even happy.
Do you use row cover? AKA remay? http://www.gardeners.com/how-to/row-covers/5111.html We use it on everything. It protects against bugs, but also help with light frost and with sun scalding. Almost everything is happier under row cover.

I have two Cream Legbar pullets and four males. If anyone is interested PM me. They're just under a week old.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I just posted my Rhodebar flock on craigslist-Colorado Springs. 12 hens/pullets and 4 roosters. . Please see the listing for pictures and details. Asking $200.00 for the entire flock.

I have had enought rain for awhile!! No hail yet, but windy and blowing rain for the last two days. Been off BYC for a few days and 7 pages to catch up on reading!

Welcome to all the new Colorado Peeps!

I am downsizing some of my Bantam Cochins to make room for this years chicks, please PM me for more info.

Tell me about it. I was working at the Elizabeth Stampede and we were evacuated around noon just as people started showing up. Total financial bust. Rained hard on the N side and to add insult to injury, I have left the water running (trying to do too much on too little sleep) and drained the cisterns so the pens are beyond flooded.

Yes they do! We finally got our lakes stocked with this year's load of fish this am. Time to go weed whack and help finish the handrails on the garden stairs.
Enjoy the beautiful sunshine!

I also have four Silkie Roos that need a new home and three 2 month old Cream Legbar Roos.
400

Anyone in Parker or near who wants babies, the Parker Feed store has about a dozen they can't find homes for. There are Production Red's, White Leyhorns, Golden Laced Wyandottes, about 2 weeks old.
