So I have nothing new or different to add to the advice you have gotten from this great board. When we had a RIR who was a bit agressive I did a lot of reading on roo's and their behavior. During that research I came across this article on here, I thought it was very helpful in reminding people of what a roosters job is and how to handle an agressive roo.

Well it started again. A crowing contest. At 3 am. My bf says it's because I have super sonic bat hearing.

Freezer camp is set for Saturday. This is going to be hard because only my favorite roos are left. Brazen and Rocky don't really even crow yet and are excellent flock protectors working as a team and are excellent mousers. I think Brazen is a white star and Rocky is a barred rock. Brazen is fearless. If anyone needs a good flock protector or 2 let me know, otherwise they head off to camp on Saturday.

One of the production red roosters I got turned out to be a pullet! Agh! Everyone in my laying flock is molting so badly, do they realize it's December and this is not the proper time to lose all their feathers?!?

In march I want to get 25 meat birds... trsturself depending on when you get your meaties, I'll go in with you on them.

Understand the pullet problem! I raised ten landrace chicks this year, and I think only three are cockerals, they are five and six months old, and no one is crowing yet, so still not sure!! I thought we would be processing at least five or six. If anyone is in need of a couple pullets let me know........ PM me for more information. Some of my Bantam Cochins, top two hatched this year.

Tsunami was my cockerel with "attitude", but he is fine now. I have breeding pairs available.......

Someone finally laid some eggs this morning!

I didn't think this would ever happen! I was so excited, I'm sure I freaked them all out and caused another egg laying drought due to stress. But, man, what a surprise to find this morning especially when I hadn't found anything last night during my pen/coop inspections. When I came inside, I apparently wasn't the only one excited about this news:

I hope everyone else has a great day!

The 3 pullets I moved to the layers laid eggs today, just not in the nesting boxes
