We got some snow last night...

My DH drives a tow truck and he told me not to even think about driving today. He was out towing a wreck at 1 am and said it was so slick he had trouble in the heavy tow truck.
Needless to say I am home.
He said the rain had frozen on the road and then got a light covering of snow.

We came home around 8 last night and it was pretty slippery. Started getting sideways on a curve, then slid past our driveway a few feet. Luckily we were going slow!

DH just called me to let me know he has been on accident calls all morning and it is still very slick out. I am glad I called in to work today. I would not have enjoyed the 23 miles down the interstate at 5 am.

Yuck! Glad I don't have to go far today. Just need to run down the street to drop off some packages that need to be mailed. DH had to drive 1.5 hours this morning, hope he made it safe and on time. I won't be able to talk to him until after 5.

It started snowing around 7 last night, and came down pretty good for at least 3-4 hours. D49 cancelled school today, because the wind kept recovering the roads every time they plowed. Took my husband quite a while to get to work, even with the base delay, the gate was backed up for two and a half miles. At least cancelled PT was replaced by 40 minutes of shoveling snow, lol...he was sweating by the time he was done.

I think I may have lost my mind lol.
I saw a thread about the "Cackle Hatchery Surprise". I thought I would tease DH and suggest I order one. They guarantee 40 baby birds, any breed, color, or combination of fowl can be included. That means any breed... ok any color... ok .........wait....... any breed?

Ducks, turkeys, peafowl, geese, guinneas etc? OH MY. It comes to about 1.50 a bird if only 40 are shipped, most people are reporting over 50 received. I became intrigued and read the entire thread. Most people are reporting that it is mainly chickens and not to many roosters. Some are indicating ducks and turkeys or other types of birds in the mix.

I kind of want to order one now.

DH said "Go for it so long as you can sell the extras".

Chicken math in exponential form.
