I too hope the coach was comfy!!! lol

So is this cold/snow ever going to go away! Geez, is getting kinda old.

Sounds like your incubators will be rocking this month!!!! Congrats on what you have hatched so far.

Sorry you lost the guineas that way. I too am sick of the snow. I miss the warm sunshine very much.
There is a colony of prairie dogs across from my job and I am thinking they need snow shoes. They can hardly move in the snow at all.

I wonder why the coach did not say something about being sat on ALL day.

Maybe you guys are just thinking about it the wrong way.....

So sorry to hear about your guinueas, PC. That's a downer.

We got some sun today, just long enough for the flock to go out to their run for an hour or two. So far, Athena seems to be doing okay & no more prolapse has happened. I have to admit, that made me a little queasy when it happened & I'm glad it was such a mild case.

The TSC I go to had so much chick stuff out! Not to mention chicks! They must be selling like hot cakes because 3 of the 6 tubs were empty & the remaining 3 were almost empty. They were so cute! My dad grabbed an order form because he's clearly an enabler to check chicken math. I'm starting my flock's eggs tomorrow so I can tell which are fertile by the time the shipped eggs get here, plus I'm still getting chicks from MPC in May, I don't think I need anymore right now! LOL

And after a super long day of walking & giving myself a ton of pain from the feet up, Odysseus & I got our 15 seconds of Twitter fame when Dr. Pol retweeted our picture during his live tweet of the newest episode of his show:

Got the little bugger trained to ride on my shoulder when I have to move the chickens to/from the barn so I have to make less trips (saves me some pain later in the day). I'm okay with the snow but I wish the temps would come back up a little. This weather is driving my animals nutty & making every injury I got in my car accident hurt. I totally thought that was an old wives' tale & was unpleasantly surprised to find out it was a real thing.

Hope everyone has a great rest of their weekend!

EDIT: Just set my 1st 7 eggs in my incubator! Hopefully, my rooster was successful at least once!

Sunny here most the day, so warmed up some, chickens are out and about, after being cooped up on, and off last week. Still had one egg freeze though, knew I should have checked for eggs more often during the day.

Congrats on your Dr Pol retweet!!! Sorry you are having issues with the cold and your injuries. I wonder if there is some kind of natural supplement you can take to help. Hope your first hatch of your homegrowns goes well!!!

Please explain the Dr. Pol thingy and how he oicked your picture? Pretty cool.

I am going stir crazy again, been in the house since Tuesday, can't take any chances of failing, with the ice, on my arm. Anyway, looks like another few days of winter and then into warmer weather and day light savings time next weekend!

@Percheron chick sorry about your day!

It is snowing here again. Baked bread and we are having calzones tonight and I am making one for our neighbor who always plows our drive.

Sorry about the guineas, that's a bummer.

Hope everyone has a wonderful evening....
