Well I have not posted in quite a while. Thankfully our chickens raising experience has been uneventful. Back in February all of you helped me understand that we had a broody hen. She has been broody the better part of 5 months. Today we received fertile eggs from a neighbor and she started her job raising chicks today. So we shall see how many we end up getting and how she does. Here are some photos documenting our new journey.

Does anyone know of someone willing to help chicken and duck sit in the Fremont county/ Rockvale area? I am not able yet to post on the BST forum, but really need help. We are to visit my family out of state next week and our arranged morning caregiver cancelled. I need morning care, and perhaps an afternoon check up, next week, Monday July 20 to Friday July 24th. I have the evenings arranged. Any advice would be appreciated! I am worried to death on finding someone reliable to care for my girls!

Maybe you could ask at the local feed stores for ideas or the Vet's office. ????

LOL I think for the sanity of my household I best hold off. I do have to many chickens to house for the winter anyway. It is all good lol. Hubby would have a heart attack.
I think I want to keep him around a bit yet so I wont do that ...........today.............
