What are you going to do with the quail? I hear they are adorable, but I have not seen them personally. I can't wait to hear how it goes. Keep us all posted!!

I want to keep some hens, I might process some males for my freezer and the rest i will probably sell off. Some babies will go to my hubby's buddy. He's already prepaid for some of them.

SNOW!!! We got snow! Okay, we got like an eighth of an inch but it's snow, moisture nevertheless. I'm happy. The chickens? Not so much but hey, they can't be happy everyday.

ARRGGHH we got about 4 inches. I've got little ones being shipped this afternoon from Ideal. She said they should be fine. I'm hoping they all get here okay

We got about 3 inches. I'm thrilled! We've been sooooo dry. The sun's out and it should melt. The chickens, though, they just aren't too sure about the white stuff. They haven't come out yet.

we didn't get any snow at all here.

my incubator is full, but i don't know if they are ok or not. someone raised the temps HIGH and may have killed em all off. I might have to refund dh's buddy's money and just buy some day olds.

Anyone here selling day old quail or marans...marans x americauna, or wellies, let me know!

Missy! I am so sorry to hear about your incubator incident. I have done that before myself. It is so frustrating!

I have marans eggs I could get you if you want eggs. I have five hens (4 cuckoo, 1 black copper) in with my black copper rooster. I get about 4 eggs a day and could save you some for a few days if you wish. Let me know.

My first cuckoo hen X black copper rooster baby hatched yesterday and it is a lovely little black baby with some copper coloring.

Hang in there with your incubator. Once that first chick hatches you will be forever hooked!

that would be great. i dont know if these are for sure dead, but it looks like it. when i candled this morning, noone was moving and one in particular was all red inside
