Hi fellow Colorado chicken keepers. I'm here in Northglenn where they only passed chicken keeping about 2-3 weeks ago. I ran right out, ordered my coop, got my license and got my 2 chicks.

Hi Everyone,

It has been awhile. Finally have my quail going full swing and with that I have the following for sale.

Adult quail - 1 male, 3 female laying about once a day with the smallest egg weighing about 9g, largest 12-13g - $10ea

Quail chicks, 2 weeks old, males and females available, these eggs should consistently weigh 12+g and more likely closer to 15g - $7ea

Hatching eggs, $2 / dozen, will need about a week of lead time to gather them depending on how many you order. They will not be cleaned and will be put into the turner.
All birds from James Marie lines, they are JMF Pharaohs.

Thank you Uzi. I am rather fond of the plants that are either really dark bloomers or have really dark names like Lucifer Crocosmia and spotted dead nettle. Who would have thunk it lol. This is a pic of a Shirley tulip but in the top left is the bottom of a queen of night tulip. YUP dark as I can get them. The Shirley was in a mixed bag of tulips and is kind of neat too.

I used to love gardening when I was a kid. I was always out helping my granny with her crazy immaculate gardens, but after my dogs kept digging up my rose bushes I just gave up! LOL I was always into the dark bloomers, too! I tried to get back into it last year & wasn't so successful. This year seems to be starting off on a better foot as my transplanted vines have started to grow up the west side of the aviary & the sunflowers have started to sprout. I'm just hoping I can get the lavender to grow this time. Hope the weather yesterday/today didn't hit anyone too badly. I guess the hail missed us but wiped out my granny's garden just 15mins away in Brighton.

What breeds did you get? Any pics? (like Latestarter said it is kind of required )

Thank you so much for your welcoming message. We are allowed to have 6 hens but it's just my boyfriend and I so I don't need a whole passel of chickens. They go into the coop this weekend. I can't wait! I tried to attach a photo but doesn't seem to be working. Maybe it's because I'm on my phone. I'll try again later.

Uzi, That is some pic of the roo looking a bit concerned about the weather. I am glad the hail missed you. Bummer about Grandma's garden getting ruined. Perhaps it will bounce back some.
If you want a fast growing ivy to cover a strong run that is difficult to destroy check out the Silver Lace Vine. Mine has been cut down to the ground and one would NEVER know it only one season later.

Mine look more like the second link. It has good pics of the plant and the leaves up close.
It says it grows ten foot a season LOL more like 20 to 30 foot. I have to cut it back once a week so it does not choke out a nearby lilac.





AH that explains the restraint on the number. I am sure they will give you plenty of eggs.

She is lovely. It's funny. The GLW was one of the first to go on my want list till I saw a BLRW. I got one and it is beautiful. Only thing is I think it might be a boy. I've been reading up and it seems they are a more difficult breed to sex because even the girls will get wattles young and the combs will get pink sooner. I'll be holding on to mine till I am 100% sure. Here's a picture I took last weekend.

Cute! Yes the BLRW are beautiful! I've heard they are hard to sex. Let's watch how yours progresses

Thank you for the links/suggestion! He was more angry I was separating him from the hens early. I, on the other hand, was about 5mins out from a panick attack as that cloud got closer!

I ordered 5 blrw from schletch hatchery along with my meat birds. They are three weeks old now and feathering out nicely. I am hoping for at least one hen out of the five. I thinks the odds are good. I have six goslings if anyone is interested. Two are 5 weeks and 4 are 4 weeks. Two are toulouse and the other four are tolouse and roman tufted cross. They make good watch dogs and lawn and weed mowers. Price is perfect also. Just come get them.
