I believe Florissant (sp) is the petrified trees (I've never been). Florence is antiques. I'm guessing from Arvada (not sure how far north that is...I gauge everything from Mile High Stadium... ha ha) it would be more than likely 2 hours to Florence. It takes us just under 2 hours to the stadium from Penrose, depending on traffic and road work of course

which can always be a challenge. ha ha. Not sure how far Florissant would be. I think it's closer to Cripple Creek.

Anyway Florence is a cute place to hang out for the day and check out the antiques if that's your thing. Downtown is only really a couple of blocks long and they have a couple of cute restaurants but not really anywhere to stay overnight, unless you go to Canon City (10 min away).

Has anyone in Colorado been NPIP tested (for the first time) since April? If so, have you received your number yet?

on the forms that you sign and send back (form vs 9-2 Flock selecting and testing report, your number is located where it says approval number. the state CO and then the number. Colorado is 84 for the state, so my number is 84-60 or CO-60, however you want to list it.

Thats how they give you your number, they used to send out the NPIP book of all states participants, but they have not done that for several years. Thats how I originally got my number figured out. If your still not sure, just call Kristi or e-mail her and ask.
