Poor roos

I'm going to start a home for unwanted roos and just let them run around

Promise? I'm going to hold you to that! You know, you could start a boarding facility for roos - just like they do for horses.

On the topic of roos...

Where are you guys getting your birds butchered at and how much? I know someone mentioned Berthoud, but are there processors closer to Denver?

No no no wsmith you're missing the whole point of the "Roo Ranch"

They get to come to the ranch so they WON'T become dinner. I know, I know I'm one of the weenies that don't eat my birds

Would love to find someplace closer. The place in Berthoud (it's a small farm I think) charges $3.00/bird. They also have a deal where you can help, participate, whatever and pay less. The $3 is for drop off and pick up after so you can pretend you didn't know the chicken.

I want a dog! Does anyone in 'Rado have a puppy for sale? After many hours of searching it appears a German Shepherd is the best to help guard the ranch from predators. Help!

Nope, but I have an intact female Norwegian Elkhound that would love to have puppies...... She will come in heat sometime in October. All we need is a registered male and the money to breed her......
