Colorado

If anybody wants, I have an easter egger chick that needs to go to a good home.

We had a hen go broody and this chick is the last one left, they were born on Monday.

We are in Parker, feel free to give me a call if you want to come pick it up!

My yard flooded. The ducks were thrilled, the chickens not so much. My poor silkie hen, Ruby, looked like a wet rat mixed with a pigeon. Poor baby. I thought my bantam cochin, Jewel, was going to float away lol. Today the water is gone, the ducks are disappointed, and the chickens are cackling with glee devouring worms. Did everyone else's flock make it through the down pour?

my ducks were thrilled with their new indoor swimming pool in the coop ( the lower 1/2 of the coop

) and my polish rooster was clinging to the roost.... soaking wet, i had to use a blow dryer to warm and dry him off XD

Was wondering because hubby is wanting to clean out shed and keeps wanting to throw them away. Let me know if you would still like them and I will tuck them in a corner.

I DO I DO I DO!!!!! Things are crazy right now, and I won't be able to come get them for a bit but I do want them!

Ok I will tuck them in a corner out of sight. Just holler when you are ready.

is it my imagination or do silkies not know enough to come in out of the rain/snow? luckily many of mine hang out under cars and in stalls. had to keep the babies in though because of the temp/wet combo. it's still raining, so I expect to see alot of free ranging tomorrow if its warm enough-there ought to be pounds of drowned worms after this weather. I worry about the horny toads though-I want to go out and rescue them from the chooks.

We didn't get as much as you guys up north (as usual). But about an inch... better than nothing. Discovered the roof in my older-than-dirt-coop is leaking though. And when I went to check on them last night, there were about 4 leaks, with plenty of dry roosting spaces. Guess where the chickens were roosting?

Time to redo the shingles.
