Colorado

@Coloradochick - thanks...for the answer and the welcome earlier! So glad you got your water back.

We got water back also...took our heat lamp from the chickens and a couple of others to some of the pipes all day...when hubby got home from work he got us up and running again! YEAH for hubbies!

It will be another cold one tonight, but not nearly, thankfully!

So, I'm having feed issues with the girls, geese, and ducks. I'm trying to save a buck and unfortunately the girls aren't having it. Their feed of choice is Purina. I've tried Ranchway, Nutrena, and the local feed Agland. They hate it. Layena is $17.00 /50lbs here at the co-op. More elsewhere. I hate paying more for the feed but I guess I just have to do it. Is Purina cheaper where anyone lives?

Hiya Gail! I don't get the Poultry Press. I haven't set up our printer yet since we've moved. Plus printing out the coupons uses soooo much of the color ink right?

Hi there ttclan! We are up by you, close to Peaceful Valley and Jamestown. . We got 19 inches of snow and it dropped to a balmy 9 degrees. But now I have my shades on and it is sweatshirt weather, for shoveling snow! LOL!

Hi Margie!!! Well ol'Cal I thnk is feeling his oats so to speak. He grabbed one of my ducks in the pool and wouldn't let go even as she drug him out of the pool so I had to pull him off with a mouth full of feathers

I buy it at Wardles, but I checked over at Walkers last summer, and MannaPro was all that they carried, as well. I used to get the egg-maker, but switched a year or so ago to the Gamebird/Showbird Breeder - it has a higher protein content.
