Do you also get your feed from them? We've been driving into Longmont or Loveland because I didn't know much about them.

Another great option in this area is Niwott Feed, their prices beat Murdoch's and they have a decent selection. If there's something in particular you want just call and see if they can get it and compare their price. I like those guys, just a small mom & pop operation.
They don't sell chicks though. Here's their number: 303-652-2900

You could also check out High Altitude organics, all organic, no soy. no corn. They have a pick up day in North Boulder every six weeks or so and are looking to start another regular pickup day somewhere in the Loveland/Mead/Ft Collins area soon. We made some modifications and are incubating 24 more right now!

I ordered the "Rarest of the Rare" from McMurray hatchery, that is the place I lost 2 from. I ordered 25 SR..got 1 extra "rare" chick. I traded 3 of those to a friend. I ordered the specific girls from Mypetchicken, all those chicks very healthy and lively. I have nothing bad to say about McMurray, all the other chicks are healthy and active, just the 2 lost....and they were the same looking breed..just don't know which breed. After contacting McMurray, they credited my account. I will order from them again.

I have to tell y'all about a chick we call "Flash".... He/she will zip from anywhere in my 4x8 brooder to come to you and get attention any time you get near the brooder....it is awesome.!!!

My very first babies are from that same hatch at ideal. We only lost 1 because she turned out to be a crossbeak and just couldn't eat well enough. I'd order from there again.

Hey everyone; awesome to see all the new fuzzy butts arriving!

Watts- I LOVE the pics.

We are actually looking at changing things up a bit over here and part of that is selling our Eglu Cube and finding new homes for two of our ladies. Figured I'd give you guys first crack at the egg, as it were, before we list on Craigslist.

The Eglu is green and comes with a run extention. We did modify the ramp to help the little bantams get in, so I think my DH put a screw or two into the existing ramp to do it. We're asking $700 obo.

The two ladies we are selling are bantam brahmas; one buff and one light; roughly a year old. I picked them up at a show last year and they are cute as buttons. They were there being shown but didn't win anything. They'd be awesome for a child's pet/learning to show. I was intending to learn more about shows by showing them but I overestimated how much free time I'd have after my son was born.

Asking $20 each or $30 for both; I can send pics in a bit but I can't seem to find any recent ones at the moment.

Yes I've had great luck with Ideal and they're very, very good to deal with. Very patient for pain in the butts like myself who like to change their orders say 1...2...3..or even 4 times before hatch date

Been using them for 4 years now. I just have the darndest time with their website. It always erases the order that I'm building so I have to start it over a few times.

I had the same issue...that's why I changed.....I don't like to mess around with an order......and Mypetchicken, you can make an order on your account and leave it there until you are ready to process out. I changed my first order many times over the course of 2 weeks! lol
