Colorado

We lost two of ours also one on the first night and the other on the second morning.

I cried and cried.

We got them from McMurray and they were really great about refunding our money. I had to have my husband call them since I figured I'd cry too much. ;)

We made up for them by heading to Murdoch's and bought 7 more.

Hey everyone; awesome to see all the new fuzzy butts arriving!

Watts- I LOVE the pics.

We are actually looking at changing things up a bit over here and part of that is selling our Eglu Cube and finding new homes for two of our ladies. Figured I'd give you guys first crack at the egg, as it were, before we list on Craigslist.

The Eglu is green and comes with a run extention. We did modify the ramp to help the little bantams get in, so I think my DH put a screw or two into the existing ramp to do it. We're asking $700 obo.

The two ladies we are selling are bantam brahmas; one buff and one light; roughly a year old. I picked them up at a show last year and they are cute as buttons. They were there being shown but didn't win anything. They'd be awesome for a child's pet/learning to show. I was intending to learn more about shows by showing them but I overestimated how much free time I'd have after my son was born.

Asking $20 each or $30 for both; I can send pics in a bit but I can't seem to find any recent ones at the moment.

Good luck to everyone with little chicks!

How many chickens will it hold? How big is the extention?

I keep three in there; it's about 11 square feet. This is an older pic, w/o the adjustment of the front ramp and the shade got a bit scratched up. It has one run extention, so about 6 feet plus the space under the coop.

We are about to lose another chick...

I've done the whole sugar water thing for the past 2 days to help them all along. She's just laying there. I've held her for a bit, rubbing her back gently, dipping her beak in water, she will drink a little, but just lays still and won't get up on her legs.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Something I'm missing?

Here is a start....Go through the list of set up. Check the temp of the brooder. Clean water. Clean food. Are you feeding medicated starter? Is she eating? How is her/ their poop? Normal?
You can try giving her some Poly-Vi-sol without iron. Not sure on the dosage. Check the amount of sugar in the water and make sure it is not too much (that can dehydrate them)
I hope she pulls through.
