Sadly I might have a little SLW roo for swap too... Preferably not for meat. Note to self don't name them anymore.

So...... When you show up to the Colorado Colonial Encampment this Sept, I expect you to bring all of the above dishes for the camp pot luck. Just sayin....Yesterday we went out and caught a couple hundred Crayfish and had a Cajun Boil for dinner last night...I commandeered the tub that the ducks use as their duck bath, washed it out with bleach and put the crayfish in there for a few hours to flush out. The ducks were pretty upset that we were using their tub and the pullets couldn't figure out what these strange critters that were escaping from the tub and crawling across the lawn.
For dinner we had Sausage & Chicken Jambalaya, Red Beans & Rice, Corn on the Cob, fresh ice cold Watermelon and Crayfish.
That was such a good dinner.![]()
I'll post a few pictures later...
would someone remind me when the next bird swap is? Denver, greeley, fort collins or brighton? I have 25 lovely red star pullets that are for sale. And I may have some white heritage turkey chicks as well. I still have some grey call ducklings for sale. These birds are not for slaughter!
This is kind of random..... but you don't happen to have a son named Caden (i think his is spelled differently but i'm not sure) do you?LOVELAND AREA FOSTER (POSSIBLY PERMANENT) HOME FOR 7 PULLETS (15 WEEKS OLD)
I have 7 chickens that I temporarily (possibly permanently) need to re-home. I am in a rental property in Loveland which ended up being in an HOA unbeknownst to me or the property manager. A lady THREE houses down was taking care of my neighbors lawn and saw the chicken coop. She got a ladder, snapped some pictures, and mailed them to the HOA. Apparently our HOA is a non-for-profit type with volunteer board members and the only time fees are collected is during the sale of a home. The ordinances are handled on the "honor system" by the individual homeowners and enforced by the "tattle-tail" system of neighbors. So I have 7 chickens that I need to place in a good home while I battle the HOA. I have written a letter to the board of directors and I'm in the process of getting a neighborhood petition signed. There are 310 properties in the HOA including one apartment complex. I need 67% of the votes to win. The apartment complex alone is 112 votes (with just the owners signature). So I will need approximately 100 other votes. Anyone in the Loveland area willing to help me and walk the houses please PM me!
Pullets:
2 - Blue Andalusians (white eggs)
2- Welsummers (dark brown eggs)
2- Buff Orps (light brown eggs)
1- Ameraucana (green eggs)
How would this lovely coop and 7 lovely hens lower anyone's home value?
