I'd be screwed, I don't think I have that much restraint...![]()
Chicken Math strikes again!!!!!Well as I have learned by reading posts here on BYC, a coop is never "finished" and today I joined that club by enlarging our run. I am grateful to have a very understanding BF that knows how much I care for these peeps. What I thought would be enough space, which was fine when they were little, is not now that they resemble small chickens. So the Denver Double has a double run. I can't wait to add some natural wood perches now that there is more room. Will post some pics tomorrow. Oh and on another note, pretty sure the two I kept from taking to the swap are cockerels. Saw some very pretty saddle feathers on both of them. 1 of 6 is a pullet, first and last time I take chicks from the classroom! Looks like my flock will be reduced to 4 (hmm or maybe I can get just ONE more).![]()
Minchi, I have a SLC (cochin) if that helps![]()
I wish you the best of luck with the trusses swmith! It's supposed to be not too hot this weekend with some RAIN hopefully!
I do think I'm going to the fair this weekend if anyone wants a ride out there. The girls need some food so it's a good reason to drive out to there to the feed store too.
Do you know if that green blue shimmer of the feathers is a definite sign of a male? Just in the past day my SLW has started to show it, but everything else points to female. No Crowing, no Saddle feathers, her comb is so light that he ears are still white, and her tail looks like a pullets. She is 10 Weeks old.
