Colored Egg Layer Rooster? What breed is this?

Credit to Nicalandia who finally solved the mystery! Speckle is a Production Red rooster. I didn't realize that was an actual breed, but once I looked it up, Speckle checks all the boxes. He's grown to be about 10 lbs, with toes as long as my fingers. He looks just like the pictures of the Production Red roosters online. (still working to get good pics of him in daylight, he's in the back on the roost in these pics, with a bit of frostbite on his comb due to unseasonably cold weather).

I recently set eggs from him and my SGE and PBB eggers, here is what they look like. Only 4 chicks are from the SGE, the yellow and caramel one in the top left corner, and a couple confused chipmunk ones. Time will tell what color the chicks lay.

How's your rooster's behavior towards you when your in his space?
He's never given me personally any trouble, but we have had some issues. The Production Red apparently has a docile disposition, and I believe it. He's 8-9 months old now. I had one issue with my son getting bitten a few months ago, which totally surprised us. He kicked the rooster back and the rooster ran off. He brought a stick into the combined covered open-air coop/run next time he went in (under parent supervision), and used it once, and Speckle left him alone after that. A few months later, I tried to introduce my daughter into the coop (now that she's older) and it didn't go well. She's been around his whole life, but has never entered his space, and apparently that was different. She was a stranger and he was protecting his hens. I put a stop to this in less than 10 seconds (daughter was okay), and made it clear to Speckle that my daughter was off limits. I also told her she's not allowed to go in the coop any more. Speckle's on borrowed time, which makes me sad. I'll be closely scrutinizing his behavior as we come into spring, and if there are any more issues, it's freezer camp for him. We don't free range, and I think that does have an impact on his behavior.
