I would not be surprised if that second chick is a cockerel. That's an awful lot of barring

Barring automatically means boy? That’s too bad, especially since another chick is suspected to be a boy, and the barred one is my favorite..I would not be surprised if that second chick is a cockerel. That's an awful lot of barring
Waits to sell them later or keeps them for breeding I believe..What does the store do with the returned cockerels????
Ok..are normal olive Egger chicks gray like that too? I’m going to exchange a boy calico princess for a new chick, so I’m hoping to pick out an Americana or bluebell Egger..does any have any idea what those chicks should look like?Just to clear it up that isn't a sapphire Olive egger, that is what my avatar is. They are crested.
No barring does not mean male automatically (except in hybrids like black sex link) but a double dose of barring would and that bird appears to have a lot of white. I'm not really sure on it but I'm just saying it could turn out to be.Barring automatically means boy? With EE's they come in any shade so that won't help. I will have pics of the bluebells in a bitOk..are normal olive Egger chicks gray like that too? For the record olive eggers, along with Bluebell and all the others are just subcategories of Easter Egger. There is also no way to specifically say that a bird doesn't look like an EE as they can just about look like anything.Never mind, Hoover's is saying the colors vary alot. They don't look like EE's so I'm speculating that you got olive eggers because of there resemblance to maran chicks.
