I know there are green and blue eggs I have been received those. However, this one came up? Am I missing something? Are the rubbing off? I looked in my nest boxes and nothing in there. If anyone knows whats going on that would be great. My husband thinks I dyed it. lol

Has that egg been washed?
Do you collect all eggs daily from clean, dry nests?
How does it look on the inside?

I collect everyday. Started using hay maybe that's it. Normal egg inside.

Looks like poopy eggs after they've been washed.
Had ti been washed and was it poopy?

Yes, pic of inside of shell is what I wondered about.
Hay shouldn't stain, unless maybe if it is wet from rain, broken egg, etc.

That one looks big compared to the others. Was it or is that just me seeing weird things? The brown one loose in the carton just above it looks like it has green stain on it as does the one in the carton on the top left. If you look inside the cracked egg and remove the membrane you can see the base color of the egg. The outside of that egg looks pretty light, not white but pretty light. Do you have any chickens laying eggs that color?

To me it also looks like an external stain, especially if some of the others had it. I don’t have a clue what would cause that and not leave a clue in the nest, especially if others were also stained.

It does look larger......but the ones in the carton cups look small, pullet eggs I'd guess.
