colorful eggs (pictures)

Just a thought....that would be gorgeous if you could blow out those eggs (whatever you call that) and keep them in the basket on the table as a centerpiece.
 
Yeah, I should definitely preserve the "pink" ones, because I'm sure that won't last. They're just Buff Orp eggs that someone is coating with a chalky-white layer of some sort of deposit, probably a new layer.
 
Quail eggs seem to do better with a slightly lower temp and higher humidity than chicken eggs so I would not raise the temp. 102 is the highest you want it. In fact if your thermometer is off by a degree too high of temp could even be a cause of your low hatch with your chickens. Did they hatch early or late? Higher temps they hatch faster and too low of temps they will hatch a day or 2 later than average.
