Coloring on face and comb looks wrong

These two black sexlink hens look off to me...their combs and faces are usually a bright red.

I’ve included some pictures.

Both are laying, eating and drinking.

Is this an indicator of a health issue? I’ve read about changes in comb color and disease, but not sure what we may be looking at here.

Any help would be appreciated!

I don't see anything obviously wrong. My sex links look similar. The one in the box looks a bit pale, she's also panting. If it's hot, and I assume it is since you are in Florida, it may just be the heat. If there are no other symptoms, poos looking normal, eating and drinking, then I would just do the common things to help them with the heat, and keep an eye on them in case something changes. Changes in comb color can have many causes, including hormonal, so it may or may not be an indication of a problem. It's good that you are aware and noticing though. Often times a 'symptom' by itself can be nothing, but in combination with others may mean something is going on.

Thank you. Yes it’s very hot here (90s and very humid), so hopefully that’s it.

We’re fairly new to keeping chickens and other animals so I am always reading. I think that’s a double edged sword because if I notice anything different, I always think the worst.

I guess it’s very much like being a new mom, lol.
