Columbian Rock Cross or??????????

Hi, I bought 2 chicks that are suppose to be Columbian Rocks. I can't find much info on the internet on these little guys. They are suppose to be from a Rhode Island Red Hen and a Columbian Rooster. What do you think? They both have black pins on the wings but you can't see as well on the pictures. Also are you able to feather sex them? Here are a few Pictures I took tonight. I'm not positive how old they are but I know they are less than a week old. Thank you.

you can feather sex almost all breeds except bantams they are tricky and this looks like one roo and one hen but its hard to feather sex them you are suppose to sex them within the first few hours after hatch

the first chick looks like a roo the feathers are short and equal length the second looks like a hen feathers are long and not equal

Good to know, I thought it was the other way around.

I love the colors they will be if they are Columbian Rocks. Hopefully they are. I was told they are columbian rocks but I wasn't sure if their wings should already have black in them.

the hens grow faster than the roos and longer i sex eggs too before i hatch people say it cant be done but ive hatched hundreds of chicks and its just about as accurate as feather sexing

How do you sex eggs? I've known people to use egg shells for DNA sexing. Now I'm curious. You learn something new everyday.

A Columbian WHAT? Unless its a Columbian colored Plymouth Rock, there is no Rock anything. Also a Plymouth Rock and A RIR equals not much but a mutt ....unless you want a sex link. And you need a roo that's RIR and a hen that's a White Rock for that. Maybe the person you got them from switched the breed of the parents? You'd get a sex link if you had a RIR roo over a White Rock hen.

If most people could reliably sex eggs, there wouldn't be thousands of male chicks killed all of them time after hatch....

I got them from TSC and the sign only said Columbian Roo and RIR Hen.
