It's possible. From my experience with crossing the splash wyandotte male in to get the blue lacing on my gold laced brahmas, my pea/rose comb split birds resulted in a low smooth cushion comb on the females. And not much more of a comb on the males. Could not find a shot of a hen,here is a photo of a cockerel.
