I have a healthy leg horn for a few years now. She has always had a floppy comb. But all of a sudden, her comb turned pale and now completely blocks her eye site on one side. Her disposition has changed and has become much more skittish and now tilts her head to the side. Is there a remedy to this? My wife wants to put a rubber band around it to hold it up. I feel bad for the chicken as she certainly looks miserable.

Maybe you could find a vet to dub it? Unfortunately leghorns often have those big combs. It should shrink back in cooler weather a bit.

Its ok for leghorns to have the comb hanging over the side and covers one eye that happens to my two white leghorns. Whats not ok is that it got paler and her disposition changed. How pale is it. Is it just slightly paler bc that could just happen bc the comb is so big. How big is the comb? Bigger than a normal leghorns comb? Can you send a picture?
